Jorge A. Robles – Lance Corporal, United States Marine Corps

Jorge A. Robles, a resident of East Los Angeles, is a member of American Legion Post 804.  He served as Lance Corporal with the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marine Division of the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 1989.  His decorations include a Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, and a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.  We extend our gratitude for his honorable service to our nation.



 

Tony Blazona – Staff Sergeant, United States Air Force
November 15, 2009

Tony Blazona, a resident of Pomona, is with American Legion Post #30.  He served as a Staff Sergeant at Travis Air Force Base from 1961 to 1965 and received both a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal.  We extend our gratitude for his honorable service to our nation.



 

Art Lopez – Senior Chief Petty Officer, United States Navy Honored

Art Lopez, a resident of El Monte, is with American Legion District 18. He served as a Senior Chief Petty Officer with the United States Navy from 1958 to 1994. His decorations include a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, and an Iraqi Campaign Medal. Henry Jimenez – Member, United States Air Corps
Honored June 30, 2009


Henry Jimenez fought bravely in Europe as a Corporal with the 353rd Fighter Group with the United States Air Corps, from 1942 through 1946.  His many decorations include a National Defense Service Medal, a World War Two Victory Medal, a European/African/Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and an Army Good Conduct Medal.  We extend our deepest gratitude for his honorable service to our nation.

Juliana Potter resides in Baldwin Park, and is a member of American Legion Post 790 in West Covina. She served as a Petty Officer 3rd Class with the United States Navy Fleet Training Center in San Diego from 1962 through 1965. Her commendations include a National Defense Service Medal and a Medal of Good Conduct. We extend our gratitude for her honorable service to our nation.

Alex Rivney is with American Legion Post 431 and is a resident of La Puente. He served as a Sergeant First Class with the 4th Infantry Tank Company of the United States Army from 1948 through 1954, and his decorations include an Army Commendation Medal and a Medal of Good Conduct. Alex is retired from Southern California Edison, and he is married with four children. We extend our gratitude for his honorable service to our nation.

Hilario Gonzales is a member of Chapter 44 of the Disabled American Veterans. He served on the "USS Hector" with the United States Navy from 1972 to 1973 in Vietnam. His commendations include a Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, and a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Gonzales for his honorable service to our nation.

Jesse Gomez served as a Specialist 4th Class with the 1st Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery Unit with the United States Army from 1965 to 1968 in Vietnam.  His commendations include a National Defense Service Medal, a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and an Army Good Conduct Medal.  He currently is a Trustee with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2018 in Pomona, California.  We extend our gratitude to Mr. Gomez for his honorable service to our nation.
