The EventThe Board of Supervisors makes decisions on hundreds of items each week but no Sup. Gloria Molina finds no decision more difficult than deciding each year which youth will be the First District’s winners of the county’s annual bookmark drawing contest. This year’s theme was decision gives Sup. Gloria Molina “Picture the Adventure—READ!/¡Imagínate la Aventura—Lee!” And this year, all four winners hailed from the San Gabriel Valley: Andrew Lam, a 2nd grader who uses the Rosemead Public Library; Anindita Singh, a 4th grader who visits the Claremont Public Library; Ishbel Meza, a 6th grader who enjoys the South El Monte Public Library; and Seila Renteria, an 11th grader who is a patron of the Baldwin Park Public Library but who, unfortunately, could not attend the Tuesday board meeting where Sup. Molina presented formal commendations to all First District winners. Congratulations to all!
