L.A. County Sup. Gloria Molina happily teamed up with the City of Bell Gardens to open two synthetic soccer fields near Ford Park! The soccer fields are actually part of a Southern California Edison right-of-way adjacent to Ford Park proper. They are also part of a larger Ford Park renovation, which includes two natural turf soccer fields, two baseball fields, improved lighting, new restrooms, improved landscaping, upgraded site furnishings (like picnic tables), and better fencing. Many thanks to the Central Basin Municipal Water District, the Water Replenishment District, Southern California Edison, and the Bicycle Casino for helping us helping sponsor this worthwhile recreation project. Together, we’ve added active green space to one of the most densely-populated neighborhoods in L.A. County!
