On Tuesday, August 4, 2009, L.A. County Sup. Gloria Molina recognized the top officers from the Chinese American Citizens Alliance as they prepare for the Alliance’s 50th Biennial National Convention on August 5-8. Established in 1895, the Chinese American Citizens Alliance—located in major cities throughout the nation—ensures equal employment and economic opportunities for Chinese Americans, as well as protects their civil rights. The Alliance also strives to promote justice, fellowship, charity, and self-improvement amongst its members. Sup. Molina congratulated the current Grand President of the Alliance Dr. Munson Kwon, Past Grand President Saykin Foo, Executive Grand Vice President Carolyn Chan, Grand Auditor John Wong, and the San Gabriel Valley Alliance division President Paul Wong.
