
On Thursday, February 15, 2007, L.A. County Sup. Gloria Molina joined Southland artists, intellectuals, and their friends and family to celebrate the work of painter Dolores Gonzalez Haro at the 2nd Annual First District Artist Showcase. Haro—a second-generation Mexican-American—creates paintings that vividly celebrate her ancestral roots, which reach from El Monte, California to the Mexican regions of Durango, Zacatecas and Meoqui, Chihuahua.
