Beverly Boulevard Bridge Grand Reopening

On Wednesday, December 5, 2007, L.A. County Sup. Gloria Molina and elected officials from across the San Gabriel Valley announced the reopening of the Beverly Boulevard Bridge, which spans the Rio Hondo between the cities of Montebello and Pico Rivera. The new, $10.7 million bridge—which a transient accidentally set aflame in November 2005—is seismically sound and was expanded to three lanes of traffic in each direction along with ample pedestrian room on each side.
