On Sunday, December 10, 2006, L.A. County Sup. Gloria Molina celebrated the holiday season with hundreds of northeast Los Angeles residents at the 2006 Lincoln Heights Christmas Parade. Hundreds of parade watchers turned out to view the procession—which was organized by the Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council and the Lincoln Heights Chamber of Commerce—featuring California Highway Patrol Officer Rick Quintero as grand marshal.
